The City of Maryville's Parks and Recreation Department reports a successful summer.
Maryville Parks Director Jeff Stubblefield says involvement has increased across the board.
"Well, our numbers at the Community Center are up. And our activity numbers with all our programs are up. We had a great summer at the Aquatic Center - no major hiccups as far as equipment-wise. We've got all new staff there; they are full-time staff at the recreation end of it. So I'm real pleased with the direction that we're headed. I think we got good people in place and looking forward to getting this master plan and seeing how the future goes for us."
